About This Journey
The Kunlun range spans 2,500 km across Xinjiang, Tibet and Qinghai — revered as the ancestor of all mountains. This route follows the northern Kunlun foothills through the Golmud region, crossing Kunlun Pass (4,767 m) and Jade Pearl Peak Base Camp (5,038 m) to reach the legendary Pillar of Heaven. The journey blends high-altitude trekking, stargazing, stone-rubbing workshops and Daoist culture lectures, co-led by a Kunlun geologist and a certified mountain guide. Accommodation includes high-altitude tent camps and Golmud hotels with medical oxygen and hyperbaric bags.

Penglai sits at the northern tip of Shandong's peninsula — the legendary home of the Eight Immortals and the destination of Qin and Han emperors seeking elixir. This route starts at Penglai Pavilion, crosses the Bohai Strait by ferry to Changdao (Miaodao Islands), visiting century-old fishing villages and sea-erosion landscapes. Chase the famous sea mirage at dawn (most visible May–July), walk the Tianheng Mountain cliff boardwalk, and overnight at a island guesthouse with fresh Bohai seafood. Chinese guide + English interpreter throughout.

Shushan encompasses the mountains rimming the Sichuan Basin — centered on Mount Emei and Jianmen Pass. This route starts at the ancient Jianmen Pass poet-road, through the ancient cypress corridor of Cuiyun Gallery, to Mount Emei's Golden Summit. The core is three sword-culture workshops: morning Taiji sword, bamboo-forest sword formation, and night-walk on the Jianmen cliff boardwalk. Tianshan Heavenly Lake (Tianchi) sits at 1,910 m on the northern slope of Bogda Peak in Fukang, Xinjiang. Known in legend as Yaochi (Jade Pool) where the Queen Mother of the West held peach banquets for immortals. This route departs from Urumqi to the Tianchi scenic area, hiking the lake circuit to visit Kazakh herder families on the eastern shore. Includes Tianchi boat cruise, Mayashan cable car, Kazakh yurt experience and dombra music. Lodging: Tianchi resort hotel + 5-star Urumqi hotel.
